Evonne Cook
Evonne Cook has always been a crafter and began sewing in her 7th grade Home Economics class. Everything changed with her first quilt; the intrigue of cutting up the fabrics & sewing them back together into designs fascinated her. Evonne was a partner in a destination quilt shop before beginning her quilt pattern company, Clothesline Quilts. She loves replicating the feeling you get from the old quilts and treasures the opportunity to sew them with her own hands (and quilting friends, of course). Her quilt patterns concentrate on the vintage designs, traditional and the Civil War era. Her best fabric inspiration is antique quilts and her designs are taken directly from her own collection. With two Civil War series of patterns based on the battles and the generals, she enjoys sharing her stories with groups of quilters and history buffs wherever she finds them. Evonne grew up in Iowa and still lives on the family farm with her husband of over 35 years. She works from this environment where she gets inspiration from the farmland, antique quilts, and her fellow quilters. Visit her website at www.clotheslinequilts.com.
